The Journal

Acta Balneologica is a specialized scientific journal of the Polish Association of Balneology and Physical Medicine, published since 1905. It publishes peer-reviewed original papers, review articles, and case reports in thermal medicine (balneology, bioclimatology, balneogeology, balneochemistry) and physical medicine and physical therapy (physiotherapy, cryotherapy, kinesiotherapy, pressotherapy, rehabilitation).
The journal is unique in Poland and one of the few in Europe with such a broad and interdisciplinary scope. Poland, with its own Spa Act and officially recognized medical specialization in balneology and physical medicine, provides a natural scientific background for the development of this field.
Acta Balneologica serves as a unique and indispensable platform for scientific exchange and collaboration among physicians, physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, spa managers, and researchers in Poland and abroad.
